Eggman had already failed multiple times at snatching the babies, and it wasn't because of defunct technology or his own clumsiness, it was because those babies were never alone, the adults outnumbered them, and he needed to kill that handicap on his side, and as his specially made badniks waited on him hand and foot, his eyes slowly wandered over to a corner of the room, it was covered with monitors, computers, keyboards, etc. but if you knew what he was looking for you'd find it immedcietly within the technology, he was looking at the baby gun he'd carelessly thrown when he came back from turning them into babies originally

Sonic Babies Chapter 8While Tails was having the dream he hoped would be his future,
Amy was shivering in memory of her past...

Vector was looking all through the closet, going through dresses, Vanilla looked under the bed, finding things she didn't know or want in the house, and The Kids treated this like a big game of hide 'n seek, and found them in the living room, all the adults crowded around, "aawww" and "they're sooo cute" rang out from the crowd, Blaze enjoyed all the attention and showed it, not being the quiet and self-reliant cat they were used to seeing,

Sonic Babies Chapter 10The rest of the night was filled with boys trying to impress her, Sonic and Shadow running around, Knuckles climbing cabinets and Tails mostly crawling and Flying, Soon she collected all the babies and put them in the playpen when she had to take a call she went over to the couch where they could only see the top of her head, she soon there was soon a ring and Stephanie started reading off her phone, and started sobbing when she was done

Sonic Babies chapter 6

Knuckles was inside having a dream he'd had many times before he'd been turned into a baby...

...The people of Knuckles tribe were enjoying a feast as they did everyday there was to be a full moon, soon there was a low rumble coming from the east, the tribe thought nothing of it and continued to eat soon, Knuckles, who was an infant at the time saw ash spewing out and lava pouring down the base of the eastern mountain heading towards the tribe, soon people started running to the west, Knucles dad was on of the faster runners and got to the pedastal before most people, he put his baby high atop the emerald and was swallowed by the orange glow of the lava. The next day was to be Knuckles 1st Birthday...

...This dream made Knuckles cringe and shudder at the thought of dying the way his tribe and father did...

...His next dream was set on the serene and quiet pedestal he called home all was quiet up until the sound of faint wingbeats were heard "Hey Knux" Rouge said
"get out of here BAT!" Knuckles said
"your kinda cute when your angry" Rouge said as she climbed the pedestal
"I mean it!" Knuckles said in a fighting stance. Rouge looked slightly past him and then left without another word. when Knux turned around the emerald was gone!...

Knuckles remembered that unfaitful day and how he Sonic, and Tails went to get it back...

In his final dream he was sitting in a big church with a nice tux and his friends sitting orderly on the benches, he was about to ask what was going on when the big wooden double doors to the church opened and a woman coming down the aisle wearing a white gown and a veil over her face ,when she got to the pedeastal Knuckles lifted the veil and saw...ROUGE!

Knuckles shot up in a cold sweat and from that point on had a restless night.
